5. McCrory Family
First aired: 3/21/2004Costa Mesa, CA — The design team renovate the McCrory family's home. The family are expecting triplets and require a more spacious baby-friendly home.
6. Harris Family
First aired: 3/28/2004Watts, CA — The team give the Harris family's home a makeover. The Harris' home had been the victim of several floods.
7. Zitek Family
First aired: 4/11/2004Ventura, CA — The crew remodel the home of Robert Gil, who is paralysed from the neck down.
8. Hardin Family
First aired: 4/18/2004Phelan, CA — The crew add an additional room to the Hardin family's home.
9. Tugwell Family
First aired: 5/2/2004Long Beach, CA — John Tugwell, a former Vietnam veteran who presently works for the US Postal Service, and his wife, Susan — a fourth grade school teacher and avid reader who loves design and architecture from the grand style of the Italian Renaissance — have been married for 28 years. Until a drunk driver drove into their house, their daughter, Abbey, and infant granddaughter, Jamie, lived with them. Susan would love nothing more than to have her family back together.
10. Walswick Family
First aired: 5/2/2004Yorba Linda, CA — The team remodel the Walswick family's home to accommodate the whole family.
Special. Friends Helping Friends
First aired: 5/6/2004New York — Ty and his team respond when asked by New York City firefighters to renovate the apartment of two other firefighters who lost comrades in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The interesting part is that Ty's team had only 12 hours to complete the renovation and any mistakes would be seen on live television. Help is given by Regis Philbin and members of the NHL's New York Rangers.

12. Powell Family
First aired: 5/16/2004Arleta, CA — The Powell family's home is renovated. The family's youngest son, Keenan, 16, suffers from a rare cell disorder, asthma and several allergies.
13. Cadigan-Scott Family
First aired: 5/23/2004Livermore, CA — The team drastically remodel the Cadigan-Scott family's home. The Cadigan-Scott's were left parentless when both parents simultaneously passed away the month of June 2003.
14. Imbriani Family
First aired: 7/18/2004San Bernadino, CA — Brook Imbriani's home is given a makeover by the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition team. Brook, a divorced mother of two, helped save the life of a baby who had leukemia.
